It is a game of sound between friends separated by geography but united by a sometimes irresponsible passion for the undiscovered, a willingness to brave the dark tunnels of your ears, and a certainty that we all need to listen more. In an era of political division and polarized debate, we are losing our ability to hear each other. The volume of our disagreements is at an all-time high, while our ability to communicate with kindness and empathy is at an all-time low. This podcast seeks to change that by engaging people from different backgrounds and beliefs in good old-fashioned conversation. Listen in as Rabbi Michael Beyo and anthropologist Dr. Adrian McIntyre spend time listening, sharing, and discovering common ground in an effort to understand and appreciate the wondrous diversity of our human family. From interfaith dialogues to discussions with business and nonprofit leaders, this podcast shines a spotlight on the different ways we can learn to live, work, and worship together in a contentious and conflicted world. We invite you to use these conversations as a lens to open up new understandings of self and the other, to develop empathy for diverse viewpoints, and to explore what is possible when we listen to others with respect. Conversation with the Rabbi is a project of the East Valley Jewish Community Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, neighborhood organization that has served individuals and families inclusive of all races, religions, and cultures since 1972. Welcome to The Miami Chronicles. Season One is titled "Booby Trap" - it's a factual, coming of age story set in the suburbs of North Miami during the late 1970s. The story revolves around the tragic murder of a 14-year-old boy. Told by one of the victim’s friends, the story describes the antics of Gen-X teens that lead to the death of boy scout Richard Brush Jr., who was killed by a booby trap device set up by his scoutmaster, Carmine ‘Chuck’ Falco, in Falco’s home. The police wrote it off as a break-and-enter gone wrong, but neighborhood secrets would soon reveal there's much more to the story than meets the eye. Hosted on Acast. "Jesus Stories" is a chronological telling of the life of Jesus in an informal, informative, and interesting way. I tell these stories without a "preacher" filter. But, I do explain the customs of the time so that we in our 21st century world can understand what was happening in the first century. I leave the application and interpretation up to you. You make up your mind about how these words and actions should impact you — or if they should impact you.

I follow the author 101, I run proofreading software, I place the explicit language warning, when needed, and I am by now an award-winning author & an award-winning reviewer. My fascination for synthetic voices began, when I tried to avoid a clear rip-off by voice actors, who asked sums of $ 50.00,- to $ 250,- (each participant PER HOUR OF WORK), without any guarantees, or qualifications, offered in return.I know that #audiofiction is not as entertaining, as full-cast #audiodrama. But I also know, what I can do on my own, and what (sadly) not yet.I am a street-survivor, one more idiot, who thought he could recover from university dropout, and a man with some supposedly terminal-in-ending health issues. I am also still a nicotine addict aka smoker. The basic files of this podcast here are all cost-free.
