Kurt Russell is an American actor with a career spanning over six decades. He began his career as a child actor in the 1960s, appearing in several Disney films such as The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes (1969). Russell gained fame as an adult with his collaborations with director John Carpenter, with roles such as Snake Plissken in Escape from New York (1981) and its sequel, Escape from L.A. (1996), as well as R.J. MacReady in The Thing (1982). His performances in films like Big Trouble in Little China (1986) and Tombstone (1993), Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight (2015) and for portraying Ego in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017).
